Landscape Crew Member – Full Time

Hourly Rate: $18-$22 plus 1.5x overtime pay

Benefits: 3% matched simple IRA, medical & dental insurance, long-term disability, and paid sick, vacation & holiday time. 

As a crew member, you will be working with a 3-5 person crew on general landscape projects, planting installations, and detail-oriented maintenance projects.

Some experience with landscape equipment and tools is preferred. 

A landscape crew member should have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Some horticultural knowledge is preferred. Walter’s Nursery offers continuing education in the horticulture field to improve plant knowledge.

Other Requirements:

–  Valid drivers license and a clean driving record; reliable transportation to work.

–  Ability to operate general landscape equipment and tools.

–  Ability to physically lift 50lbs.

 A Day at Walter’s Nursery:

7:30a – Start of workday – Meet in our production office to receive that day’s instruction, crew details, etc. 

7:30-8:00a – Depart to jobsite with your crew, tools, and materials, in a company vehicle. You will not be asked to use your own vehicle during the work day.

8:00a-12:00p – Working on the jobsite.

12:00p-12:30p – Lunchtime.

12:30p-4:00p – Working on the jobsite.

4:00p-4:30p – Depart the jobsite and return to the nursery to unload tools, materials, etc. if necessary.
