Landscape Construction Crew Member – Full Time

Hourly Rate: $22-$28 plus 1.5x overtime pay

As a landscape construction crew member, you will be working on a 3 person team on landscape construction and landscape installation projects.

Projects may include: Site preparation, grading, project layout, installation of stone walls, steps, walkways, and patios, fencing, carpentry projects, and plant installations.

3-5 years of experience in the landscape construction or a similar field (masonry, stonework, carpentry) is required. 

A landscape construction crew member should have good communication and interpersonal skills. 

Some horticulture and landscape knowledge is preferred. Walter’s Nursery offers continuing education to further horticulture knowledge.

Other Requirements:

–  Valid drivers license and a clean driving record; reliable transportation to work.

–  Ability to operate general landscape equipment and tools.

–  Ability to physically lift 50lbs. 

 A Day at Walter’s Nursery:

7:30a – Start of workday – Meet in our production office to receive that day’s instruction, crew details, etc. 

7:30-8:00a – Depart to jobsite with your crew, tools, and materials, in a company vehicle. You will not be asked to use your own vehicle during the work day.

8:00a-12:00p – Working on the jobsite.

12:00p-12:30p – Lunchtime.

12:30p-4:00p – Working on the jobsite.

4:00p-4:30p – Depart the jobsite and return to the nursery to unload tools, materials, etc. if necessary.
